iLement Refund Rules

Information for Customers

Hi, we’re iLement and welcome to the iLement Refund Rules. As a digital marketplace, these rules outline what you can expect from the authors of the items you buy. They apply to all authors and customers.

The products sold on our platform are digital goods and cannot be "returned". Your entitlement to a refund is designed with this in mind. Additionally, each country has its own laws regarding refunds, which remain applicable.

Refund Eligibility

Please note that we cannot process refunds for products where the date of purchase is older than:

  • 180 days for iLement supported items.
  • 30 days for unsupported items, including Audio, Video, Graphics, and others, or for any products purchased but not downloaded within 30 days.

Before Requesting a Refund

If you have purchased an item from the “Web Themes and Templates” or “Code” category on iLement and are experiencing a technical issue, we recommend contacting the author for assistance. They can often help troubleshoot your problem.

Requesting Refunds

If the author is unable to resolve your issue, a refund may be warranted under the following circumstances:

  • The item is "not as described" or does not function as intended.
  • The item has a security vulnerability.
  • Promised item support is not provided.
  • The item has not been downloaded.

Item is "Not as Described"

If an item does not function as expected, the author must promptly address the issue by updating it. If the item is "not as described", you may be entitled to a refund.

Security Vulnerability

If an item contains a security vulnerability that cannot be easily fixed, you may be eligible for a refund. Authors must promptly update the item if it can be fixed.

Item Support Not Provided

If you purchased item support and it is not provided in accordance with the policy, the author should refund your purchase.

Items Not Downloaded

If you have not downloaded an item within 30 days of purchase, you may be eligible for a refund by providing the author with your purchase code for verification.

Dispute Resolution

If you cannot reach an agreement with an author regarding a refund, you can raise a dispute for iLement to investigate. Refunds issued by iLement are discretionary, and decisions are final. Purchases older than 180 days are not eligible for disputes.

Refund Policy Limitations

To the extent permitted by law, neither iLement nor the authors are obliged to issue refunds in the following situations:

  • You no longer want the item after downloading it.
  • The item did not meet your expectations or is of low quality.
  • You changed your mind.
  • You purchased an item by mistake.
  • You lack the expertise to use the item.
  • You claim a refund without sufficient justification.
  • You cannot access the item due to removal or inactivity of the author.
  • Your purchase was made over 180 days ago for supported items or over 30 days for unsupported items.
